Description

The sprue sleeve is a part that allows molten plastic raw materials to be injected into the inner runner of the mold from the nozzle of the injection molding machine. If the nozzle contact part of the sprue sleeve is not machined with high precision to match the spherical surface at the front end of the nozzle of the injection molding machine, plastic raw materials will leak out during injection molding. In addition, if the sprue sleeve does not reach enough hardness, the nozzle contact part will be worn in repeated contact during injection molding. The sprue sleeve should be selected according to the types of plastic raw materials and the expected forming conditions. In addition, the inner surface of the hole for the runner should be machined into a good surface roughness to avoid the inverted shape. If the surface roughness is poor, it may lead to poor demoulding of the runner during forming.
